Show Us Your Basses (Part 1)

Um???
Mint Green
Sea foam Green
Just to name a few, I wouldn’t call it the least popular color.
That Dargee green, or whatever your stingray is called, there are lots of awesome green basses.

They started the Dargies because the marketers told them that green was the least popular color, so they set out to try to find a green to change that. Thus Dargie’s Delight.

yep, i’ve mentioned before that there is a running joke on the music man forums about green basses not selling.

Well, here it is. It ain’t much, but it’s my first ever bass! Yamaha TRBX 174EW. Sounds fine to my untrained ear, feels good and looks good as well. Have to start somewhere and at around $300 it’s not a bad place to start.

Nothing wrong with that! Yamaha basses are great value for money. It certainly looks good, and more importantly: it’s yours!

It sure is much!
Without it, you cannot be a badass bass player.
First basses are super important, still love my Squier.
Enjoy it!

It’s your bass, never apologize for it. We’re not elitist here.

And you know, if you ever become ready for another bass, it’s a great platform for modding.

I have a “beginners” bass, a Squier Jaguar H. At lunch today I bought a soldering iron and will install a new pickup in it this weekend. Never done it before. When I’m done I will be so proud of my $250 bass.

Your bass is full of possibilities.

Sigh, the Aerodyne is currently ‘lost at sea’
It was to deliver Wednesday but was ‘signature required’ and no one was here so I had it diverted to a FedEx hold location (local grocery store). That delayed it for a day, Thursday delivery.

Thursday - tropical storm ‘just passing trough day’.
Now, 6:20pm on Friday, status is “Delivery Pending” and FedEx on the phone can’t tell me anything about its location or when I will get it.

We had major flash floods yesterday afternoon, so I am really hoping that the worst didn’t happen and the FedEx truck did not get stuck somewhere like this car (about a half mile from my house) and the fine folks at FedEx are drying out packages to see what’s toast and what’s salvageable.

I have a bad feeling about this.

I can feel you dropping into a pool of desperation @John_E
I hope if it’s bad news the carrier will water it down so it won’t hit you like a tsunami and leave you in a flood of tears.
If all’s well you’ll be able to bathe in the glory of your new purchase

I figured I would give FedEx another call since its 9:00 at night.
Apparently the bass showed up at the hold center about an hour after I called this morning and the driver didn’t bother to scan it as delivered, nor did the FedEx person who was supposed to be tracing it today bother to actually call me as they said they would. So it is supposedly sitting at the Acme grocery store (which closes at 9, coincidently enough) and will have a nice nights sleep there until the morning when I go pick it up.

Phew.

At least you’ll be able to submerse yourself in some bass playing tomorrow @John_E
