I’ve got a blacked Player Jaguar with an ebony fretboard. Just have to change the nut and control plate. Everything else is done
She is indeed.
The way the scratch plate and control plate lock together is a nice detail.
My CV Jaguar had those stacked controls (Tone/vol, Tone/vol) and they were really versatile.
I loved the tone with Neck pickup max vol, tone rolled off to 60% and Bridge circa 25% vol and tone at max.
I really love the look of this bass.
It reminds me of the old single pick up (not split pick up) P bass, crossed with a Telecaster (the control knobs and plate).
It really looks super cool.
If I ever get a chance to play one, I sure will get my hands on it, and who knows, may end up with one at some point.
It certainly tops my list on things I would like from Fender / Squire at this point.
Well
It and that old school single pick up P bass I like too. I just forget the year(s) that P was a re-issue from.
EDIT: And the new Squire Affinity Jaguar H of course
Sounds like a great bass indeed.
I’m truly interested in this bass, and I have no reason why, I just am
Off topic slightyl (Sorry @PamPurrs ), but I saw today somewhere (Could have been on the Essex Studio YT channel, whrere they show videos of all the cool stuff they end up. Sellin gin their shop for high dollar.
It was an Aerodyne. it was black, noral. With off white / cream trip, like normal, with matching black headstock.
There was one HUGE catch however.
It was a Stratocaster guitar, not a bass.
I had never seen an Aerodyne Guitar, Strat (II wonder if they did a Tele) before adn thought it was really awesome looking, and I bet it was a joy to play. Yes, it was MIJ as well.
I will look for pick or the YT post.
Well, i guess they are not that uncommon, and may have come before the bass, but they re really cool none the less.
Yeah, Aerodyne is a line for both the guitars and basses. And agree they look totally cool.

There’s a strat. The Tele’s look even cooler. Fenders just look so much better with matching headstocks.
Nice, yeah, I am a dumb ass.
I just saw it for the first time, and was always thinking of it as a bass, so to see it in guitar form really blew me away.
Good thing I don’t pay a-lot of attention to guitars, uz then I would never sleep, just loook up basses, then guitars all day / night
Oh yeah those would be amazing choices for 6-strings.
I’m just so drawn in by both the Aerodyne and the Paranormal! The good news is I just put them Hercules adaptor pack on my stand, going from 3 slots (filled) to 5 (2 empty) lol
Both are nice basses. Couldn’t go wrong with either one.
Or both. ![]()
They both look fantastic. I’m a sucker for the Tele look though so I know which one I would lean towards.
I actually prefer the feel of the Paranormal. Can’t compare the sound as I’ve already upgraded the pickups. I do like the individual tone and volume controls for the pickups.
Hard to argue with a big metal plate like that too, that’s just cool.
the big metal pickguard really picks up the living room lights. It would look killer on stage.
Defintely worth it That is a sweet-looking bass ![]()
Thanks! I thought so too. I just didn’t know if the colours were going to work, but then j just thought, “sod it, let’s see” and it’s great!
