Ha! I found one in left handed orientation (as I am LH), offered on Reverb. But the price is kinda steep - out of my range, certainly. :astonished: Not that I am jonesing after a Rickenbacker, but nice to know they do/did exist in LH.

So, I don’t believe I have ever showed the last addition to my stable:

1994 Peavey Foundation, rosewood on maple, last year they made this bass with Super Ferrites. USA made instrument for $400 Canuckistani kopecks.

I wanted an '80s vintage one with the split maple neck, but they’re few and far between.

Sounds absolutely amazing, a bit like a jazz bass on steroids.

400$, nice find!

What does a Jazz bass on steroids sound like? Does it strut around the room in shirts that are one size too small? Does it have anger management issues? Does it ever miss leg day?

All of the above. Plus it gets terrible acne, testicular shrinkage and myocarditis :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Seriously though, the pups have some single coil hum when soloed, but its very quiet.
The bridge pup is a bit like a '70s J placement, so it’s very trebbly and honky (much more so than my JJ Peavey milestone was), but the neck pup is very deep sounding. It’s a bit mid-scooped to me.

Ya that’s stoopid high

I have fallen completely for Spector basses. This is now my goto for just about everything.

I love the sound and playability, but it weighs as much as a rich, mahogany coffee table. And I’m OK with that

Introducing the HONDO. As a beginner I don’t know much about all the different brands and styles but this bass, although a little heavy, sounds and plays well for me. :v:t5:

This is my Fender Jazz Aerodyne. I found it in the back corner of a little pawn shop here in Austin Minnesota. My dad is a bass player and is a huge Fender fan so when I saw this beauty sitting in the back corner collecting dust I thought now is the time to learn my favorite instrument. It only cost me $200 I do not hink they knew anything about instruments.

That was a real bargain @NicholasTaylor

I think so. My dad ask me to look for a serial number because it was so cheap before I bought it. I’m really enjoying learning.

Great collection. I was looking trying to pick a favorite and I couldn’t. LOL
Is that a roasted maple finger board on the Stealth 5?

Thank you! They are all pretty great. It’s a rosewood finger board on the Stealth 5.
