Picked up a used Ibanez SR540ZW. Still need to swap strings and get it set up but I dig it.

That last was from me. My Variax and my amp both in my basement noise room. It is by Line 6 and can computer model many classic Basses. I’ve been playing the copy of Paul’s Hofner. Cool to instantly be able to switch sounds and it’s not like a keyboard—you get to add your own soul.

I agree with you. Gold normally is too bright but this bass is glossy as can be so it works. Thanks all for the kind words

I once had a Line 6 Guitar Amp with a lot of virtual effects. The effects were the selling point of the amp but in the end something was lacking with the amp. It’s hard to describe in words but it always felt a bit hollow/fake. It was missing the “oomph” in its sound.
Then again this has been over 10 years ago, maybe the amps/effects got better or the price range I was in wasn’t high enough to sound good. You seem to be happy with the sound and that is what is important.

Ibanez Jet King Bass (JTKB200) :

the seller was asking only 100€ for it, I couldn’t resist.

it’s in great shape overall but the setup is horrible, it’s barely playable. I have some work before I can really play it.

it’s a mahogany body with a bolt-on 3 pieces maple neck.

I like that :+1: not my usual type of bass either and a bargain too

That bridge plate is huge!

I love it. Odd looking bass, which means it’s cool
