Hey guys, here’s mine! Yamaha BB234 in vintage white, with the pickguard removed and recently restrung with DR Strings Black Beauties, plugged in to a Vox AmPlug 3 Bass and some Sennheiser headphones. My daily driver, so I can practice when everyone at home is sleeping
i think imma name my bass something! what should i name it?
George. Definitely George.
George wishes to bring the Thunder.
my coworker is married to a guy named george. i showed her this. told her to memorize it and repeat it to him. multiple times, daily.
I got this bass like 15-20 years ago but never learned how to play. I’m two weeks into the corse and can already play a full song by my favorite band.
That’s really cool man, congrats! Feels awesome, right?!
Nice bass, too! I think of this type of body (acrylic?) every time the subject of tonewoods is brought up. Would love to hear how it sounds!
That bass is totally cool!
I have a friend who we nicknamed George after he had a night of passion with a particularly large-built Dutch farmer. When holding a pint glass in one hand, we were convinced it was a half pint. Poor George…
I see what you did there
LoL! I didn’t think anybody would get the reference.
I had a late-80’s vintage Ibanez RGB-300 when I was in high school. No idea where it is now. For the last like 5 years I’ve really wanted a Fender Mustang Player PJ in Sienna Sunburst. My dad had a Mustang bass back in the 70’s, and I really like the Sienna Sunburst finish. But when I finally got all my other discretionary funds items and Bass Guitar Day™ came, I thought I’d go look at some of the other stuff in that price range. And lo: Ibanez. After seeing the SR600 on Sweetwater I went to Guitar Center to play a bunch of stuff, sort of in the hopes of talking myself out of getting the Ibanez and confirming my desire to get the Mustang PJ. I failed. Played several Ibanezes, a couple Sterlings, a couple Fenders (only Jazz and P–they didn’t have a Mustang), a Schecter, a Jackson, and something else. And I kept coming back to this SR500 they had. Just could not find any reason not to go with Ibanez. So I went home and called up my Sweetwater engineer and ordered the SR600e. Couldn’t be happier.
Nice! Love the woodgrain on that Ibanez
Nice lookin tele!
The Sandberg arrived today, and while we are most definitely in the honeymoon phase and I tend to be biased in favor of whatever GAS has been relieved most recently, it’s a clear contender for being my favorite.
The RB Streamer on the far right now belongs to one of my daughters, but it still lives here so can go in the family portrait.
Wow, clearly something went right in your parenting.
Knights of the bass clef!
Man I hope so, they don’t come with an instruction manual! But certainly happy to nurture a love for music and a desire to make it.
