Yep, the rechargeable internal power supply is pretty cool. And, yep, this new Mayones preamp is standard on all Maybes basses as of August 2023.

Plus, of course, when you boost any treble/mid/bass on the preamp, you get proportionately more output from the headphone amp. Makes sense, but it’s still cool to hear.

My daily partner for the last year(Although recovering from a broken scaphoid and playing is limited to 5-10 min daily, depending on pain)
I have a new bass incoming though… but UPS seems to have “lost” it between Paris and Dublin… I suspect the Bass is swimming across.

Fender AVII 54 P - brought this one back from Michigan. Was awesome to return to an old family-run shop and give them some patronage.
Super chunky neck on this guy, reminds me of the JINO but not quite as thick. I’ve been loving the old school vibes this is bringing to the party. Also, it’s my first sunburst bass!
Just did my most recent cover with this bass and it pairs especially well with the V-4 head.

Ah yes, my Ibanez EHB1500 has one of those. They say it’s quite easy to remove the locking part but they also say it becomes easier with use. I think mine is getting a little easier after a few weeks of use. I haven’t quite screamed at it yet. I might yet become totally happy with it. The jury is still out though.
If my right hand still had guitar picking nails on it I’m pretty sure they’d be bust by now!
