ha ha, that’s why I keep mine on the desk for quick reference
It stays on until I finish the course as a reminder.
ha, I like it
Back in 2016 I only had the G&L MJ-4, Epiphone Pierced SG (since 2001), and Schecter Damien Elite 8.
The G&L Fallout is actually a DIY 5-string cello guitar tuned from F1-A3.
That 6-string subcontra bass is in low drop E to match the 8-string baritone guitar one octave lower.
The 8-string bass is currently in Drop C with only some secondary strings being an octave higher. I’m going to get a new nut and tune it G1G0 C2C1 G2G1 C3C2.
It’s not as hard to play as you might think. Neither is the fretless. I still have much room for improvement…
I still have a few more on my list I’ll be getting as soon as I can afford to… lol
Ignore the guitars.
We need an Al signal for whenever we require gratuitous shed pics.
I read ai but I figure if there’s a Shed in the same breath, it’s prolly me,
You know it!

I purchased this bass last Sunday on eBay. The seller is a very nice man in Florida. He purchased it for his teen-age son who decided to learn trombone instead so it has set unused until now. Turns out the seller has played stand up bass for 30 years and has an electric stand up bass he uses when needed.
He described the bass as being in new condition. It does not have a hard shell case but a gig bag (which will make nervous until it arrives tomorrow via UPS).
The bass guitar was sold in the USA as a Guitar Center only model starting in 2011 or 2012.
I believe it was much more available in the United Kingdom and Europe. (Oh and probably Ireland too.)
-TV Jones humbuckers, 3-way pickup selector, master volume pot, volume pots for each pickup, and master tone pot.
(Some day I will figure out what that means and whether that is good or bad).
It is classified as a short scale but the scale is 32" which I thought makes it a medium scale.
It might be heavier than I might like at 7 lbs. 15 oz.
(but better than a 9 pound hammer.)
Thanks for looking. Comments are welcome.
These are great instruments. And that is actually quite light for a bass, anything under 8lbs is great.
looks like a great find
I hear a lot of good things about TV Jones pickups and look forward to hearing them (vicariously at least)
My first (and hopefully last) bass and my first musical instrument in general. I’ve been wanting to pick something up for a while and decided to go for bass thanks to Joe Dart and Kim Deal’s playing.
It’s an American Ultra Precision bass which I realize is absurd for a first instrument but I finally left a very stressful job and decided to blow my last paycheck on something I wanted to do. It’s soo nice!!
Now I just have to find some kind of lesson plan to get me going. Does anyone have any recommendations.

Well, since this is BassBuzz, the obvious answer is the great Beginner to Badass course. Virtually every member of this forum is either now in the process of going through the course, or has completed it. It is the best bass investment you could ever make.

That was just a joke given the forum I’m on. I purchased the course earlier today. From a quick look, I don’t think you can create an account without purchasing the course.
