Looks very nice! Love the color, love the neck. Bacchus are great value.
And yeah I would be surprised if a Bacchus wasn’t up to Sire quality, even their Universe models - pretty equivalent really (and they just go up from there.)
As for the pickups - the Universe ones don’t use Deviser pups I think, not sure what they are. Good plan to pull them off and check if you don’t like them; superficially at least they look like decent humberkers though.

I think my wife was brooding over that all week. She brought it up a few times today, which in Canadian means she was mad. Purses are her thing and she bought one this evening, then apologized (again, Canadian). I did warn her that the BB is still out there and it’s gonna happen and not for any “I need this tone” reason, just cause I really want it. I do think it’ll be after Christmas though. I don’t want the next conversation to end with her in an Oilers jersey holding a hockey stick.

The pickups are very strong in the mids and I should hook it up to distortion and see how it sounds, but they lack low end punch. They’re good pickups, not sure they are my taste

My Ibanez SD GR with Fender Rumble 25…I would not recommend this amp because I bought a new one 3 mo ago out of the box and it started crackling and hissing suddenly without any volume on or anything plugged in. My boyfriend is an amp tech and said it couldn’t be fixed. So this is the replacement Rumble

Passed the hot goods test and took it home today. The GC I got it from in Rochester now has 2! Sandberg short scales! I left them though. I like the color even more now that it’s home.

Figured I’d throw in what I have.
Started with an Ibanez SR300. Made a deal that i could buy an actual fender p bass once i completed this course, but was granted early permissions from the powers that be… cough* wife* to buy the British Racing Green limited edtion P while a dealer in my area still had one.
