When I spend time thinking about it, blue should be a perfect color choice for soda…yet…no. Never really caught on…ever! Orange, purple, brown, red, neon yellow…yes. Blue…no

You want an odd color for a soda, Mtn Dew has probably done it.

This is absolutely most certainly true! Haha!

Check out the fine print. “Charged with Raspberry Citrus Flavor and Ginseng”. Blue Raspberries. Only Mtn Dew.

Go to a club and get a gin and tonic - tonic water + black light = blue glow

Under UV light, it becomes fluorescent and looks awesome.

That Aria Pro II I bought between Christmas and New Year needs to be sold … one in means one out!

I bought this today!

Travelling for work and saw this in Facebook Marketplace for a very reasonable price. It’s a 2014 Squire 51 p bass. The intonation is way out, but the neck relief is fine and it plays very nicely. These’s some electrical buzz when the tone is fully open, that goes away at 0% - any ideas?

I also think the pick guard is a bit boring in white, any thoughts on this?

Pastel, maple and white is a true classic color combo for Fenders and is IMO by far their best look.

At most maybe go to pearloid?

For the love of all things unholy, not tort

How do you feel about faux carbon fibre?

You could try the 3M 2080 wrap film. 4€ for an A4 sheet … and just get a few different options!

Surely a single piece of A4 isn’t enough? I assume you should seek to avoid joins?

I think the film would be at best a last resort for instruments where pick guards were hard to find, which a ‘51 fender reissue should not be.

And even then I would probably make a new one instead. Not that film is a bad option, just that there are others.

@howard I was about to suggest tort but…

Hey now! This is my MIJ with Fralin.

I put the Seymour Duncan antiqua on my Squier. Super awesome.

I switched bass and got back to my Meteora and I didn’t remember how smooth and comfortable she was! It’s more modern than my other ones but I missed it!

I cannot get used to my “new” Jazz Bass because I was not careful about the neck profile (it’s not as easy as it seems) and it’s way too thick.

For that specific pickguard A4 might be too small. You need to measure. I haven’t tested “overlapping” wrap film yet, but surely you will see a subtle line…
