Show Us Your Basses (Part 2)

What… wait, I’m old and my memory is kinda bad. Have I said this before?

I’m not sure. But these famous last words have been proclaimed by virtually everyone on this forum at one time or another. :joy:

I wish I have 37 basses.

It’s never about the money. I said this when I bought my Ken Smith.

That was early 90s,

After the Schecter that arrived the other day, I’m not buying any more basses. In 2025, at least.

@Al1885, just subtract 100-200 and you might get close to having only 37, give or take a few dozen.

No doubt, you’re the undisputed champeen bass owner in these parts.

My new Audiophile friend is a retired music store owner in Fullerton area, he’s both Fender and MusicMan dealer. He only knows me as a bass player. I’ve never shown him my basses yet, I’m so afraid that he’d say he can’t get me a good deal on….that would not be good for my health, :joy:

That Schecter is super nice, How are you liking it so far ?

Gonna take a little getting used to. It’s my first active bass so I’m playing with all the options in sound.

But so far i’m liking it.

I said that when I bought my 6 string recently but I’ve got a reverb page up right now for an L2000 going for a very good price. The only reason I didn’t hit the buy now last night is that it isn’t a color I’d get normally. That and I’m out of room on my rack (if my wife didn’t buy me the stand for my 6 strings for xmas).

A little bit goes a long way on active basses. and remember, those eq knobs are boosts & cuts.

I have 7or 8 of these stands and they are great, very sturdy and easily transported. Anything from a 6 string to a skinny neck 4 string is no problem.

Ive got a single that I keep in my practice area in case I need to set my bass down for a minute while I’m playing, and a 5 guitar rack that I keep them all in the rest of the time. I asked my wife for one of the Hercules 3 guitar stands for my 6 strings which will free up space for 1 more bass and give me room on the stand for 1 more guitar.

Most grateful to everyone on here who advised me and offered comments and support, feedback and experience as I was trying to figure out what gear to purchase. The purchasing has been done, my music room has been set up, and yesterday I started my first Beginner to Badass lessons and am having so much fun. So so grateful.

The picture is my music room setup, my bass, my amp, the space. It’s a Sire V7 Jazz Bass and an Ampeg Rocket Bass RB-115. Couldn’t be happier. Does everything I need. Music Stand and tuner to arrive before the end of the year and I’ll be all set with gear for at least the remainder of Beginner to Badass if not much much longer.

Thank you all once again.

I love fries dipped in lime mayonnaise. It is just wonderful. My husband prefers to dip them in ketchup. I only like ketchup in cheeseburgers, but with fries - never!

Trying to think of a way I don’t like fries. Basically all the condiments work well with them.
