I would have Fender send a replacement decal, for resale alone @JustBatty - anything like this makes buyers leary that you have a partscaster vs. the real deal
This is so so true. The āonlyā reason to own a Fender is the resale value. You can get same sound and build quality at half the price or better sound and build quality at the same price.
Back in Covid era, the surge of poor build quality American Fender hit the market so bad that Fender had to make press release informing public not to expect instruments without fret sprouts. It seems to be the only American made instrument with fret sprouting issue and itās simply about properly drying wood. Fender is contend to pass the problem along to their customers who pays the premium for the Americans series.
None of my American basses ever have this issue, None.
I got a new bass! Sterling by Music Man StingRay Short Scale ā Blue Pearl (NOT Toluca Lake).
Iām so happy with this bass ā I think Iām in love. About ~15 years ago I had a Sterling SUB. When I picked the bass back up earlier this year, I grabbed a Squier Mini P bass, which worked like a champ, but I was craving more.
I tried several Mustang variants (I know theyāre super popular), but they just werenāt for me. Iād played the Sterling short scale before and liked how it felt, but the colors never really grabbed me. Then I found this Blue Pearl with the black pickguard and it was love at first sight.
Really happy with it so far ā plays great, looks great, and itās just perfect..for me!
You have to be joking! Iāll say again, this is an instant collectorās item! In a few years people will lining up to buy the rare āmis-decaledā Jazz basses!
Unless itās not just a batch or two and itās the entire 2025 stock, most people would think that itās a PartCaster or worse knock offs. Unless itās like a āNoāCaster then itās a definite collector.
Sincere apologies I spoke to soon, but to my defense thatās Gibsonās charm. Itās ābox of chocolatesā
Gibson is like InāNāOut drive thru. If you go to McDonaldās drive thru you expect to be out in less than 5-10 minutes, for InāNāOut you are expected to be there for at least 20. You are expected to be screwed,
They just opened one 10 min from my place (had one closer in San Diego⦠but I kinda dig the nostalgia of having one that close). Iāve never had to wait more than 3-4 minutes for them to take my order. That, more than being in Colorado makes it feel like somethingās not right. The strawberry milkshakes are on point and the fries taste just like cardboard by the time you get to your seat⦠so they got that down.
Theyāre burgers and shakes are really solid. I donāt understand the hype about the place though. They were just the closest burger place to my house for awhile. Some of the first new ones in the Denver area, thereād be hours long lines to eat, which is crazy pants imo.
