Picked up this Ibanez Bass Workshop SRMS720. Loving the multi-scale fanned frets!

Nice! I like the finish and the single edge razorblade pickup covers. A real “snow” machine.

Fishman, that’s their trademark look. Very very good pickups.

I’ll definitely let you know my thoughts when I get it. For now I’m still waiting. I’m hoping it becomes my go-to from day one too.

I’m a complete beginner at 63 and wanted a simple set-up that is portable and no cables for easier handling.
This is my Greg Bennett design Corsair Samick short scale 30". Alongside it is a Joyo 15B rechargeable amp. Also Artist WGS 20 5.8ghz wireless guitar system.

Thanks!

How do you tell when Tim actually has a “forever bass”? He makes it “his”.

This is my Fender Player Jazz bass. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I’ve had it for… coming up on 2 years now. I’ve upgraded the bridge and tuners (both GOTOH), the pickups and electronics (EMG J System), and finally found a checkerboard pickguard that I like and fits perfect.

I know I’ve shown it before, but I REALLY like it right now. And it sounds great, too, like any EMG-powered Jazz bass should.

Thanks Andrea

Looks great! I have heard only great things about Gotoh bridges and tuners.

So, a year after I started Beginner to Badass course, my bass collection has multiplied (along with guitars).

It’s sad that one of the brand is dead, and the other is dying.

I think they’re both dead (for now)

Höfner files for insolvency to restructure, therefor they aren’t dead completely.
I do hope they make it through.

Ok didn’t know that. But tbh if it weren’t for Paul McCartney nobody would be playing them

So here’s a bit more unusual piece than I can see posted here;

The bass (and an album) I got for my 27th birthday.

Since it has tapewounds I decided to break my habits and start to use my fingers which is why I got enrolled into this course. Truly a beautiful piece, there’s just something about those F holes that does it for me.

Trying to anchor my thumb on the fly between the screws have been messing me up though, haha.

But so glad I got this, just wearing this makes me feel like a sex icon.
