Nice bass! Love the colour too. You could ask the seller for a little discount since the bass was damaged? Might ease the pain a bit.
Nice looking bass, congrats!
Looking at the tiny sliver of body around the neck, Iād assume this would happen to just about all of them at some point. Agree ask for some $ and thump away!
Congrats!
But, if I bought a bass like that from a vendor, Iād contact customer support and ask for a pristine replacement or a good discount. If the sale came from an individual, Iād still ask, but wouldnāt hold my breath for a satisfactory reply.
Whatever happens, have fun.
I did a bad bad thingā¦more Friday, until thenā¦
Hereās a hint - Hey Gene, point to the hint pleaseā¦
Rad. That is all.
Ooooh, is someone gonna get punished, @John_E ?
Very nice! I agree with the others, try to get a discount. Enjoy playing it.
Ouch! But definitely a big congrats! Love the color. Itās definitely a great bass for someone who doesnāt like knobs, lol.
Lol, right? Iām so bad with anything tone-related, so I thought the buttons were cool. I tend to plant my thumb mainly on the first pickup though and Iāve already pushed several buttons on accident while playing. Iām sure Iāll figure out how not to do that lol.
Ya, i resisted for a while but a stoopid good deal came up, and, I had just finished reading Paul Stanleyās autobiography (damn good book btw) and was in a very KISS mood.
I suffer from terrible GAS⦠guess I just like new toys The cool thing though is I did find ātheā bass Iād been looking for. Never would have believed Iām a P kind of player, but what do you know, it took a 40th Anniversary Squire P to get me hooked on one bass. Read the reviews, went and saw one, then made the inexcusable mistake of playing it. WOW
Boom! Bought
Sold a couple of bass things Iāll not use now and even my beloved Sire D5 on TI Jazz flats gets more dust than play time. Canāt put the Squire down!
I also love to tweak basses. First thing that normally goes are the tuners as most are way too heavy. But even those are stock on the 40th P, love the vintage look of 'em. Only thing changed is the saddles to brass (love them on the D5) and of course strings (Super Slinky 45-100 as I love their feel and tone).
Find a good bass and donāt put it down
Hey @Beck, I might try playing more towards the bridge pickup. it looks like its fairly far from the bridge and might make playing easier and less wobbly. that neck pickup is like really close to the fretboard(compared to a jazz bass or p bass). just my two cents.
Nice! I liked the look of the 3 pickup Acinonyx.
How is the neck? The specs make it look quite skinny but reviews say itās fun. Finding one locally to try is tough but it remains on my radar!
@pilmat Another person on Bassbuzz owns one and answered all my questions about it. The neck is very thin, but thatās what I wanted. It actually feels a lot like my Junior Jet, but I think the neck on this one is even smaller, which is a pro for me. If you like wider necks, you may not like the feel of this one. I hope you come across one to try out though.
@Vegaswizzle My husband actually suggested the same thing. But my question is, where am I supposed to slap?
The esp fretless is here. It came home today. This makes me happy
Iāve not played it much as yet, considering Iāve only actually had it for 45 minutes or so-but it plays like butter. Nicely balanced, great tone.
oops. not sure which I was drooling overāthe bass or the butter.
On second thought: a little from column A and a little from column B.
watch your step, though, thereās a puddle of drool around here somewhere.
Itās actually right here in the garageš
Congrats. Itās a looker.
Very nice! Love the gorgeous und oh, so buttery fretlessness!
