Good price if in good shape.

So this is my bass… It is an Ibanez SR300E. I just finished the Beginner to badass course with it. I chose it from various reasons. I like it, and I just know it is not my last bass :).

Well… I ordered an orange one. But when the box arrived, and I opened it, voila, Glen Hughes limited edition. Didn’t pay extra for it… And I also had ordered an orange cable to go with it. And I was thinking of ordering orange strings as well (). But that didn’t happen. Yet…

We just came back from a pedal expo in Montreal and we brought back a just-enough vintage Musicman Stingray 1994. The colour is great and I am super excited to clean it up! This is my spouse’s passion to buy used and vintage stuff and make it great again (mostly guitars but also basses and amps). Sometimes he sells it right after, but this time, we bought it together so it’s very exciting (she said again, lacking synonyms for excitement terms) to add it to our collection.

Even dirty and without a proper care, it’s more comfortable than my brand new short scale Sterling by Musicman Stingray. Both can still exist is the same realm though. I hope I can get rid of the rust on the pickup magnet but I am confident it’s going to be my favourite. What do you think?

I have been playing only for a month. I feel like I am a bit much, but I kind of own it.

Oh this is badass to my taste! I tried convincing my boyfriend to even look at those with black hardware but he throws up in his mouth a little! I love it, it looks great!

Those have been discontinued lately and I struggled to get the black one as well. They had baby blue but I don’t really like those Easter colours! It’s a great bass.

Congratulations. That is a fine bass. It looks pretty clean in the photos. You should be able to make it look shiny as new with just a little work.

I love Mudic Man basses. I have an SBMM short scale and an EBMM Cutlass P. Both are amazing.

Oh, and you should be excited! Have fun.

Has the Sterling short scale been discontinued? I had no idea. I just assumed the stock was running low because they were about out of their most recent import run.

A Google search didn’t result in any news that SBMM short scales have been discontinued. They’re available from a lot of vendors.

When I asked to add the extended warranty where they can replace the item if damaged in shipping, they said they could not because they didn’t make it anymore. Maybe they’ll have another one soon. Maybe that the real Stingray aren’t discontinued.

Dropped Copper Sterling short scales were apparently a limited edition. That particular finish has been discontinued, but other finishes of SBMM shorties are available.

OMFG, that’s an awesome find @emiaharvey Congrats!
FYI, the bridge you have there’s it’s called the Flea Bridge so the serial number should have reside there. Gorgeous color. I’m definitely jealous. That’s a keeper for sure.

Yes, I found it when I got it and it’s a 1994. Didn’t know the name of the bridge. Thanks!

I first bought the white one at Long and McQuade online in Nee Brunswick (it’s the only place they had the white one in their networks) and when they called me to say the neck was crooked, we talked for a while and he could not order any white or black directly from the company because it was discontinued. I didn’t see it written anywhere either, but that’s reliable enough for me. They still have some units but they cannot import new ones. I ended up buying the one black remaining in Quebec City.
