I beleive this the better option for a few reasons.

First, you get to learn all the ins and outs of the bass replacing all the hardware, pick ups an what not. If you already know that, then for the fun of it, and cuz pimping is just cool.

It’s another bass in the family.

But lastly, most important, taking off all the orig hardware, and storing it, may be the only resource you will have for replacement parts for your original bass, and if you sell that bass off, you might not be so lucky to find an identical bass at a pawn shop

Thanks @T_dub,
You just reinforced what I was thinking myself👍
Reminds me of Steve Miller when his on stage in the live in Chicago DVD talking about his Vincent Bell that the rock &roll hall of fame offered to take of his hands for $672000.00usd.
He says should I keep it or should I sell it?
I think I will keep it.
Good choice, the only other one I have seen is owned by Steve Howe from Yes.
I’m Pimping it, and I have never dissected a bass before so this will be my first attempt at making something from spare parts, new tuners new pickups and new paint:grinning::grinning: cheers
