Good point @Mac, I am definitely not thinking outside of the box.
That second one looks really good with it.
My brain says I should pick the butterscotch strap (simpler, doesn’t compete with the bass) but I want to go with the Japanese floral. It looks aged, and the dark leather contrasts nicely with the bass, rather than looking too matchy.
Yeah, I like the second one.
I think I like that the stitching in #1 shows up just enough to echo the stitch-like edge on the Rickenbacker, moreso than the stitching on #2. Plus, it’s minimalist. And yeah, there is that butterscotch color, which is subconsciously affecting my preference, probably because I have given up sweets and continue to (mostly) resist temptation IRL.
#2 looks nicer but #1 looks wider?
I think they are the same width - the first photo is zoomed in.
I would go with #1 but I’m a simple animal.
I prefer #1 as well. It fits the color of the bass without distracting from it.
I’d use the second one as it creates more contrast with the colour of the bass
They really look the same to me. Think I will go with 1 since Butterscotch seems to match with the bass body. But for more contrast go with 2
Both are very nice and look well made but I think my vote goes to #2.
Well, it’s unanimous…both!
Lol
Correct!
These are Hangover Straps.
Brian the owner/craftsman is super nice and very creative/skilled.
His leathers are the softest going. I have another of his for the Peavey (black with silver lightening bolts).
So soft and so comfy.

Both are nice but it’s #2 for me, better contrast with the bass imo…
I love the design of #2 but #1 will go better with most guitars.
My last 2 straps
The jenny bass is finally done although Terry wants to make sure the truss rod is ok after fixing the nut.
The brown padded strap is on the Mikro since I use it more
@Mike_E both you can switch up and down.
@athosmr2003 Saw your strap and was playing that song LOL good tastes
From left to right: gun strap, guitar hero strap, bass strap, guitar strap that always falls off and last but not least, my cat!
(Btw i just have the guitar because my dad bought an amp, but the person who sold the amp also sold the guitar with it, but i’m not playing the guitar because the low e string broke by being tightend too much). (The bass does have a strap, but it’s really not visible).
i would definitely go with that wider strap, seeing as how basses are pretty heavy and might hurt the cat’s shoulder.
