Silver sequins would be fantastic!
It really is. I wish I had a bass that could wear that strap and do it justice. Could you imagine going on stage with it? There would be no ignoring you as soon as the lights hit it.
I could wear it. My bass is entirely black with only a silver bridge and 3 silver knobs. A silver sequins strap would look awesome. I think I want one now
My first bass, a Squier, came with a basic strap, which I used for a while. But I wanted something with more padding, so it didn’t hurt my shoulder so much. I ended up getting this one, and it’s still available, if anyone’s interested. It comes in a few different lengths. I like it. I think I’d only get another one if it had even more padding, but this one was already as much as I’d want to spend on a strap.

Nice! I think that’s the one Josh used to use before swapping to the Gruvgear, but that’s a bit more and you already said this one’s the top of what you want to spend. It looks comfy AF. I also used a default 2" nylon webbing strap for entire too long.
Thanks! I may yet upgrade this one day. My shoulder still gets a bit sore after an hour or so. But it’s a lot better than the basic strap. It’s wider too at the shoulder, which is nice. I’ll have to check out the Gruvegear straps. I was just reminded of how much I paid for my case, so paying a bit more for a better strap wouldn’t be too bad. If only there was a strap that made the bass lighter!
OMG that’s hard core!
Anti-grav strap, that’s what we need.
Yes! Is there a waiting list for that?
They are the best. I’ve tried most of the straps mentioned and this Dunlop BMF10BK 3.5 inch is the choice for me. I have a bad shoulder and neck issues and all these padded, neoprene blah blah blah etc aggravate my shoulder and neck after 10 minutes standing and playing. This Dunlop sits perfectly on my shoulder like a t-shirt. If you look around, you can pick them up for around $50 USD.
Edit: I just noticed you were talking about the “Deluxe” model. That model is more expensive like what you mentioned. I prefer the Dunlop BMF10BK with no padding, just soft Italian leather.
