Silliest reason for liking a bass

I’m currently playing on a marketplace find bass I got for cheap, as I am looking to upgrade in the long term I can’t help but get distracted by new shiny stuff. Clearly comfort, sound, and utility are key but I can’t help but really want a green bass.

What are your completely meaningless preferences when looking at basses?

i think the reasons most people will list as the unimportant things are actually some of the most important things. how it looks, the color, etc.

Really dig the new one, how are you liking it now that you’ve had some time with it?

I really like it. The neck is fantastic.

I’m going to gig with it in a few weeks and see how it goes.

Also a big fan of green basses. Honestly the Fender Player Plus checks all the boxes of sound, neck, comfort, active controls, looks. That green is so eye catching though and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. There’s also the Player Modified line in a different shade of green that has a passive tone control
