So what do you do for a living?

And it might drive you crazy as well

Technically I’m called a “Preditor.” lol. It’s an industry slang term for a Producer/Writer/Editor. I work freelance and spend most of my time editing videos or creating motion graphics for random clients. I used to teach Video Production, Radio and Television Broadcasting, and Mass Media classes for a couple of universities. I was ABD and then discovered that the university I was trying to get my Ph.D from would not support my area of interest–I was studying film and video editing. Rather than shuffle around and get a degree from some other institution and waste another 3 years, I moved on with my life. My only regret was not being clear with my interests from the outset. Looking back, I wouldn’t be happy writing papers all the time. I’m much happier editing and creating.

@joergkutter after my high school graduation 3 senior bassists went to Copenhagen for a week as one of the bassist was from there and came to school as an exchange student. We had a great time and love the city.

I remember we were so drunk one night and passed out on the bench for a few hours, lol. I’ll be taking my kids there when they are old enough.

Sounds like the beginning of a good joke

I am sure it just got too cold at some point and so you were left with two options - go find your hotel, or another pub

I’ve had three jobs in my adult life.

US Marines- right out of high school. Travelled the world several times. Loved it.

Narcotics Officer-did undercover work in some really bad areas. Got hurt 4/10/88. Hurt again in late 89. Got out so I would be alive to see my kids grow up.

Retail automotive sales-seems I had a talent for sales. Been doing it since 1990. Sales and upper management. Probably die at a dealership one day.

For the past 25 years I’ve been a U.S. Navy contractor working in Physical Security (that’s as much as I can say about it without getting into trouble.) Before that I worked for a telecommunications test equipment company coding software (Z80 Assembly Language) and designing hardware.

I am an offshore chemist. I work in a lab on an oil platform.
It basically entails testing various systems to ensure how they are working and ensuring chemicals are added at the correct dosage and working correctly.
In the summer you get to watch dolphins and whales or seals playing. In Winter the storms are such that just standing upright is a challenge.

It was The Lady Anne Cavendish Bentinck @joergkutter
And yes, that was the British Queen Elizabeth

I didn’t know this. Now I understand the picture.

Between the ranch, rescuing horses, and volunteer firefighter, you’re pretty busy for someone who’s “retired”.

Thanks, @Mac - not intimately familiar with British nobility, I am afraid! But, sounds posh

When you talked to her did you call her Lady Anne?
