Working my way through the 50 Songs Challenge. Here is song #26 - Money.

I have a DSotM prism tattoo on my leg, so I’m certainly a fan. Playing this was so cool, but man, it’s a long one!

I’m taking @John_Eā€˜s advice and not mentioning the unmentionables. I’ll just say that I’m pleased with this one overall and happy to share.

Nice tone here @Professor

Go back and listen to the very beginning, or better yet, compare the original bass track to yours in your DAW. I think you will find you are quite off in timing. This get’s dialed in once the rest of the instruments inform you better of the beat.

There are a couple ways to conquer songs that give you little to no clue how to start.

  1. Watch your DAWs original bass waveform
  2. Memorize the countin - probably the hardest way
  3. Note other key sound cues to let you know where to come in

After the beginning, you did a great job. This one is a workout for sure.

You’re 100% correct - it’s one of the unmentionables.

I tried the count-in method. Messed it up bad for the first take and ended up with this for the second. I get impatient with the takes so I rarely go beyond take 2. lol

I need to figure something out though - this isn’t the first time I’ve been thrown off during an odd time start.

Having said that, this was a fun song to work through and I feel like it elevated my raking game.

As always, I appreciate your feedback. :slightly_smiling_face:
