Something about the rhythm in this song had me feeling like I was never totally sure if I “got it” or not. But I need to resist the urge to be a perfectionist, so here’s my best take of Hound Dog.

Another blues! Almost like Josh is onto something with the 12-bar blues being everywhere in American music. This is a fun form to mess with, really straightforward bass line, but quite fast.
For me, this felt like an exercise in keeping a form at speed and messing with plucking position for tone.
I recorded this over a week ago and just got back to edit, upload, and post it. I remember being quite frustrated with my performance at the time, but honestly- I think I drop/ghost a few notes but stay basically in time, sounds fine to me now.

Here we go - Song #6 - Hound Dog. I’m in headphone mode again as it’s recorded from the road while on holiday. I didn’t bring my Boss ME-90b pedal, so it’s naked as well! 
At least I’m finally using the GarageBand Compressor and EQ.

I’m slowly getting back into the challenge!
On this one too, the tempo is variable (in addition to being fast!). It gave me some trouble, but I figured it out: the solos are around 185 bpm while the rest is at 177. ^^ Josh isn’t making it easy for us with that! 
PS @THRILLHO, if your video is getting spammed, it’s because I synced it with my tablature to practice the song. ^^
