Hey gang. My beloved friend, Luigi, passed away a couple of days ago. As a 13-year-old senior, it wasn’t a surprise but still, it hurts so much and frankly posting a post like this in public is just my attempt to make the pain a little smaller by sharing it.

Go hug your furry friend right now!

We lost our doggie just before Christmas as well. It’s always tough.

Aw, man, I’m so sorry to hear that. Think about your baby and smile. All a pup ever wants is to see you happy.

Dogs are my favorite people. The only time a faithful dog hurts us is with their passing. He is at Rainbow Bridge running, young again awaiting you.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…

Thank you all for the comforting words. It’s really really bad now but as soon as I will be able to look at a dog without crying my eyes out I plan to register for the local animal shelter ā€œPublic walksā€ (You can take a random dog for a walk.), and I will find another friend. But right at this moment, I cannot get anywhere near a dog. I went to a grocery store and there was this cute little puppy waiting on a leash outside, I just wanted to pet him and it quickly deteriorated into me sitting on the ground crying while the doggie jumped all over me.

It just sucks so bad. Thanks again.

You have a big heart and lot’s of love to give…I totally understand. I currently have 4 rescues and will cry like a big, fat blubbering baby when they pass. Three are seniors and have problems already.

With another 15 rescues to look after its a given that loss is part of the journey as hard as it is
