Stickers or No Stickers

Hey Guys,
Do you put stickers on your basses or no?

Hi Jetblack, I put one on my Lindo and instantly regretted it, so no, I won’t do it again!
I put stickers on the fridge/freezer instead!

I’ve been thinking about putting a few on my basses but I’m having a hard time going through with it.

I am no fan of stickers on guitars nor am I am a fan of the Detroit Red Wings…
The only time it is even remotely acceptable is when Sir Paul does it.

Here is the story behind it:

This is what somebody on zzzeee Zzzerman forum did. I totally dig it!

I had a handful of stickers of my avatar made (it was a special offer for free through a new sticker company a couple years back) and I put one in the electronics cavity of each of my basses. Kinda like an ID kinda thing.

Other than that… hell naw.

Only on my crappy, cheap, disposable travel bass, and that is simply because a) it’s a bit bashed and dented and b) a previous owner glued a wooden butterfly to it that I can’t get off.

On everything else, absolutely no way!

But as folks say, your basses, you do what you like…

I have thought about doing something like that- just need a theme

When I was younger, I put a shit ton of band stickers on one of my basses. I got older and didn’t like it anymore - well, I was actually torn, because it was an era of my life and it was my main bass during that time - but it just wasn’t my style anymore, so they had to go. About 93% of them came off fine without any trouble, but that last 7% was horrible and definitely f*d the finish up in some places (of course it was the front). It doesn’t look horrible, but I see it, and it annoys me. If I could go back in time would I put the stickers on again…? Yes, probably, because that what I liked at the time and it was a problem for future me.:rofl::rofl:

When I was modifying my cheap 200€ P-bass, I was going to replace the stock fake tortoiseshell pick guard, but the one I ordered didn’t fit. I ended up using a random assortment of stickers as a temporary solution.

I’m not pro sticker, but that looks really cool tbh. I’ll keep this in mind if I run into a bass with a hideous pickguard.
