thanks much. Plenty of pain Dulles help e get thru the physical therapy and lots of walking around (one of the best rehabilitations for knee replacement surgery is to walk).
may need them for a few more weeks, then I will titrate off them down to nothing so I don’t really have any withdrawal so to speak.

I took 4 walks today one to cvs, one to the grocery story, one just to walk around the outside of the apartment building for exercise, and the last one to the liquor store across the street. NO, NO, NO, not to get any liquor, but to get a few Starbucks coffee drinks, and a litter since mine broke.

I did the first 3 walks of the day without a walker or cane at all, did it all on my lonesome.
The last one, about 8:30 at night, I was feeling pretty tired, so I took my walker just for safety, incase I got too tired, or worse yet, hammy leg give out and fall.
I am happy to report, there was no filing today. I am sore as hell, and tired too good, but overall feel pretty good.
Thanks for asking and the well wishes.

I did find out I qualify for in home health, meaning PT, to come 2-3 times a week and do physical therapy with me for 4-6 weeks.

There is another home health program sponsored bu ,by my insurance to have somebody stop by daily and check on me, make sure my place is clean, make sure I am able to do my ADL (average daily living) and am keeping up with showers and personal hygiene.
However, they offer one or the other, and I opted for the Physical therapy.

There’s another program, the name slips me right now, but it is to set up to have a care giver. thing is you pick the person. Friend, neighbor, family member, etc…
My neighbors girlfriend who is moving down here to our complex on the 27th, is a certified care taker. she did it til her anun died, she did it for several other elder family members that dies, bus she is certified to do so, and willow live in my apartment track, so I am gong to call and have er set up as my care taker. she makes a little money, but best yet, tase care of all the shit I don’t want to do, like clean, cook meals, etc… NO, on the other hand, she is there to motivate me to do my physical therapy when they are not there an I a suppose to do it every couple hours, plus she is there to motivate me to get out of the hoe an d walk, and go do things for fun, like movies, or beach, or things like that. So this sounds like a win/win to me

Sounds like you’re doing just fine @T_dub :+1:
Are you still going in for the second knee in a few weeks?

more like a few months.
I was progressing with dilly physical therapy while at the center.
now I have been back, I have been focused a lot on what I want to accomplish here, an doing a little less PT, and it is scertainly noticed.
I was supposed to have home health care (home PT) started with already, but mix u with paper work and they are hoping by Friday or the weekend. I ceratainly need it, son’t want to regress too much.

I do go for long walks every day, but it seems to stiffen up my knee when I get back.
by long walks, I mean 45 min to an hour, so its progressing, just ned to make sure there is no regression along the way.
