THE Definitive Guide to the most important bass questions ever asked

Ok, since this is still about soft drinks, I’ll add in my part.
I’m a traveling electrician. I’ve worked in 43 states.
In Florida, it used to be called a dope. In Iowa, they hate Dr pepper and try to serve you mr pibb. In the northeast it’s soda pop. In Arizona, EVERYTHING is a coke. In Texas, they look at you funny if you DON’T order Dr pepper.
Soda seems to be the most popular term. Pop is kinda regional in my experience.
But i think we’ve all missed the boat, because the best beverage is obviously
( add suspenseful drum roll here)

Once again @autumnsdad1990 is on the money. I’m a Tetley man myself. Tea was the cornerstone of the British Empire which was going just fine until some of your ancestors decided to throw a fit about a teensy bit of tax they had to reasonably pay and kick us out. Talk about ungrateful.

I had not heard of Yorkshire Tea before today, but they had me with the slogan “Proper Black Tea.” I am in the States, and just ordered some from Amazon US.

Love the fact it is labelled as “Proper Black Tea” :+1:

Ok let’s get some thing straight here. I did my grade 12 history thesis on the battle between Coke and Pepsi!

Facts are Pepsi lied not Coke. At the start yes Coke had cocaine in it.
Coca-Cola became so popular other flavoured colas came out to the point at one time there was 123 others available.

Coke was able to get rid of all of them except Pepsi.
Why?
This is why I say Pepsi lied. Look it up you will see it was also called “Brads Drink a Women’s Drink or a Prescription drink for Peptic Ulcers”.
Interesting reading all the way around.

My questions are why is this talked about here and why would any one drink Dr Pepper it is as useless coffee?
Real bass players drink Earl Grey Tea or Coke on the rocks only! No exceptions

I could get behind Earl Grey if we are talking loose with real bergamot, but not that teabag crap

besides, everyone knows the best tea is Barry’s Irish Breakfast

but better than coffee? lol. no.

Of all the teas in the world you chose Earl Grey? I mean we’re all friends here, but this is really starting to test the boundaries!

Milk in first for the emulsion or after for the mixture? Serious, serious stuff where I grew up.
That’s a proper Grimsby accent, sorry to my American friends as no subtitles are available.

Pro tip: if you put the milk in first, you don’t need to stir; it self-stirs when you add the water into a nice emulsion.

Same with coffee and cream

Irish Breakfast makes the best iced tea

In the military, if someone asked what sort of tea you’d want? there was slang for milk, sugar etc.
I’d always have a Julie Andrews (white nun)

gonna go with mugicha for that one. But IB is good iced too, yeah. Just don’t ruin iced tea like they do in the south.

2 cups sugar to 6 cups water. Not joking, it’s what they do. Should be a war crime.

Spent most of my adult life between South Carolina, Arkansas, and Texas, I’ve had my kudzu shots.

Live in the Pacific Northwest now and have for years, still order unsweet tea as a defense mechanism

Never had mugicha, so can’t say.

Definitely try it, one of the most common beverages here. Roasted barley tea, usually iced. You’ve probably had it in Japanese restaurants in the US without realizing it.
