Black and tans used to be my favourite drink, only difference was we used export instead of lager. Hardly ever hear of them now, it’s either real ale or some over priced lager you have the choice of
To my Friends I use have here and my relatives who live in the land of Yankee Doodle ( my favourite Cagney movie).
Tea is never made with those little bags that contain Tea dust or remains.
It is made with the real leaves in a pre- heated Brown Betty.
It is not made by recipe it is made by Colour thus all that is consumed is always perfect. Milk is always in the cup first, never creme for that stuff gags maggots.
Coffee or as it is called here Heathen Juice is lame for it is not good for you like Tea is and contains less caffeine.
As far as Earle Grey is concerned if you do not know it is a Divine Elixir for life that is sad for I can hear your taste buds crying from here.
Mm
umm…
Oh my friend you are so so wrong. What a drab grey existence it must be to trudge through life without ever tasting coffee again. To quote the great Samuel Johnson “ When a man is tired of Coffee, he is tired of life.’
plus it turns out coffee is better for you than tea in some ways (intestinal health), and has way more caffeine.
On the other hand Tea containes theobromines, like chocolate does.
Numerous studies have shown that a variety of teas may boost your immune system, fight off inflammation, and even ward off cancer and heart disease .
Sorry fellow bass players Tea is still the best elixir and yes has more caffeine.
As a Canadian with European back ground you will not win the Tea / coffee debate for tea is in our blood.
I know that I am a Tea fanatic of one for all the rest of Worship team I am on drinks the dreaded heathen juice.
Look. I know that in today’s climate, facts are often bubble-world kinds of things, but in no reality does tea contain more caffeine than coffee, when properly brewing each.
Coffee has double the caffeine content of tea in normal brews.
Only tea but no coffee; what would Dave Bickler say? You’re living a half-life, lols

Look my fellow babies it boils down to this; you are right but I am righter.
You are correct but I am never wrong!
Tea rules and always will. Heathen juice drools and always will.
This is an indisputable fact; Bass players who drink tea hold down the bottom end better.
P.S Johnny Fever quote used with care. Voyage well Mr Hesseman.
rofl. If you don’t want people to swear in your threads… this is a poor start
Yorkshire tea. Now we are talking!!! Proper drink, that plus Guinness of course
I’m a realbass player. I’m very, very real. My bass is very real. And i drink about 2-3 soft drinks a year. Primarily when i feel like i need to get sick from one end or the other…
When this happens, I’ll go to taco bell and order food to kick start it. The mt. Dew baja blast that i order with it provides the needed liquid for a complete system flush
I love Taco Bell. It’s fantastic fast food, as long as you don’t think of it as Mexican food. Which it definitely is not.
So yeah, couple things there. Our ancestors DID in fact in fact object to the tea tax- but that completely overlooks the far more critical aspect. They also wanted land they could take for free and pay zero tax on.
No Sir. builders method. Tea first, then milk. Putting the milk first changes the flavor profile.
Yeah. It was really good for them that they did not have representation because that excuse would have gone away. It’s not like they cared what happened in London.
Our big mistake was annoying the (British) Canadians in 1812 though. Should have just stuck to the sea war, but someone had to be an asshat and burn down some rando’s Canadian mansion. So then Canada came down, burned down the White House, stole all its art, and torched Congress before it was even fully built. The funny thing is, they were even polite about it until some yahoos started shooting at them.
It’s embarrassing to get your ass kicked by Canadians, which is why they don’t really cover that war much up until college in the US.
Thank you! This doesn’t touch the fact that we then write/ break multiple treaties with the natives
(See: ungrateful aborigines) and then declare this land sovereign.
If you want a neat lesson in this, look up the story of Leonard peltier.
I love living in the United states. It’s a great place full of great people. But the narrative we are taught as children falls away under the weight of history and truth.
We have accomplished great things. We also brought you the slap-chop. I’m just saying.
Amusing thread, all this bragging about who has more caffeine when caffeine isn’t very good for you. As a person who lost part of their stomach, I have to watch my caffeine intake, as it interferes with the absorption of nutrients by the body. I totally understand it feels good to drink, but it’s not good for you.
When I do drink though, it’s a nice chai, which is very healthy
I was a caffeine junkie from 16 up until last year. I would routinely down a pot of coffee myself before work.
Sometime last year my body pulled the rug out and I became suddenly very sensitive to caffeine. Even tiny amounts of caffeine now trigger noticeable heart rate and blood pressure changes for me. Even decaf coffee or really mild green tea will trigger it. I’m completely screwed as coffee was huge for me.
It turns out I was able to find one decaf method that gets the caffeine down under 1% of normal. I can drink that. But that’s it.
It suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. The week I quit caffeine cold turkey was brutal. Withdrawl headaches, fatigue and irritability for a month or more.
All those people that tell you that you feel great after quitting caffeine? They are bullshitting you. It’s months later now for me and it still sucks.
