If you’re adding oil (bergamot) to a tea then that’s only one small step away from getting out the Didgeridoo.

As a Scotsman I am ashamed to say I actually have a real soft spot for Irish whiskey

Fresh stream water from the Scottish Highlands is wonderful. I , however, have lost count how many times after taking a drink I’ve wandered further upstream to find a dead sheep laying in the water! :joy:

Big lover of Jameson. Can’t do the peat of scotch. I despise smoking from being a kid of a chain smoking mom, just can’t do the taste.

It’s an acquired taste. You know like Pepsi

My taste buds aren’t that honed @John_E

As a rule if you get the same burn as when siphoning petrol goes wrong it must be good.

Having said that, Glenmorangie is a very nice tipple

Side note, I have been obsessed of late watching another Scottsman on YouTube. I never watched Craig Ferguson’s late night show when it was on, but someone on YouTube put together amazing compilations of each guest and running gag themes. The guy is insanely funny. I spent 7 hours alone watching him interact soley wtih audience members.

CraigyFerg is amazing.

I never liked Scotch, always bourbon or rye for me. Except Laphroaig. Laphroaig is also amazing.

Hard to believe, I grew up on Jameson’s. I remember going to pickup girls for a date, and doing a shot of Jameson’s with their dads before leaving. I was 16.

Oh the Irish.

My family has direct roots to the Isle of Mull, specifically Duart Castle.
My scotch is Ledaig or Tobermory.
Tea: Earl Grey with honey and lemon. Evening.
Coffee: anything that tastes like it was brewed in a Detroit high school teacher’s lounge…….30 weight thick and straight up black. (Retired Mumford High School teacher……) Morning.
Pop: Vernors
Beer: Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Was Strohs until they sold it off and moved out of Detroit many years ago.
Just my 4 cents worth……inflation!

YES. This is how you can tell a true coffee lover. If you love that cup of dubiously brewed bean to death, you definitely love coffee.

I used to love McDonalds coffee black but not the same since they opened the McCafes here.

There are a lot of new folks here, so thought I would revive this thread.

New in town, scroll to first post.

Although a bit cheeky, the answers are really true. Starting on your bass journey there are a LOT of options, too many. This is what marketers need to do to keep working. It will take time and mistakes to find what’s right for YOU. No one else can tell you what will work for you, no video online can give you the answer. They will lead you directionally to things, which may work, or may fill a drawer with unfulilled hopes and dreams. This is the way. Enjoy the journey, and don’t sweat the options, just learn how to play, your wants and needs take time to know. It can be an expensive path, or an austere one, your path - depends….

My darjeeling will fight your Irish Breakfast.

Pro tip: If you put your mug in the microwave for an extra 15 seconds (3:15 total), it gets the water closer to the right temp.
