I think it is probably because it’s currently 86 degrees inside here and thoughts aren’t thinking but I REALLY want to hear what that sounds like… but maybe only once.
It’s ugly enough that it’s probably going to be awesome….in a Mad Max kind of way

Thanks for sharing this! I checked their other videos on Instagram. In one of them, the luthier is speaking about the bass in Spanish. Unfortunately I could only understand a few words, but I would really like to know what he is saying. So if any Spanish speakers here could translate it would be awesome.
I only understood that the headstock looks like a “sad little donkey” 
(burrito triste), and that playing with it is an incredible experience. It seems to be very old and he is surprised it still works. The back of the bass is really strange! It looks like leather. Is it?? The back of the neck too! He also says “that’s crazy” and “incredible”. I didn’t catch much else.
The video is worth watching! It looks so strange from behind! What an odd bass!

My question would also simply be “Por qué?”
My friends 4-year-old daughter is taking Spanish lessons and still doesn’t know how to say “please”.

The guy in video is actually saying the headstock “looks like a sad little doggie/sad puppy” (perrito triste).
At the end he says “It’s so ugly that it’s actually cool” (Es tan feo que pego la huelta que esta bueno).
