All the other wood grains in the pic effectively created visual noise.

The cabinet isn’t helping either

That’s why I mentioned it would be better to photograph the bass in front of a neutral background. The conflicting wood grains in the floor beneath it and book shelf behind it are unnecessarily distracting.
