The Competition Black with the sunburst racing stripes doesn’t look too bad.
(I do agree that the racing strips on the other burst doesn’t look right at all.)

The whole yea/nay on racing stripes on a bass (in any incarnation) has been flogged to death and back many times. Some really dig stripes; others most assuredly do not.
But combining stripes with a burst is just an exercise in tacky-tude, to my eye. It’s all good though, because I’ll never be trying to outbid anyone who likes ‘em.
