I canāt quite dislike this. I guarantee you either Gerald Casale or Fumi could make that bass aesthetic work.
I mean, Casale made the Be Stiff bass work.
And of course Fumi is also very Devo.

I love SBVās. They are among my favorite basses of all time.
I really want a SBV-J2. There were Japan-limited with only 100 made. I passed on one last year (#32) because the price was way wrong and the guy had heavily modded it, the fool.
But sweet mother of Jesus. This person modded their (extremely rare) SBV-J2 withā¦ tort. This is like adding insult to injury.
I am so very disappoint. This person needs to go to Bass Jail.
It has unique controls so a 500 or 550 pickguard will not work on it. This had to be custom made.
Inb4 the side comments that SBVās already look oddā¦ no shit. Thatās part of what makes them awesome - and if you havenāt played one you just donāt know why they are so good.
But this tortā¦ on a 100-run limited edition - this is just wrong.
