So apparently this is one of the “most sought after basses in the world”.
Does it belong here or in the Pr0n thread?
That’s not just a whale. It’s a Narwhal.
Wow, you are in rare form today
Personally, I do not seek that.
An excited narwhal.
I actually like it! I needs a black Ebony fingerboard though!
I really dig both woods on it. They’re the only good things about it.
Also, this bass is not a “whale” at all.
A so-called whale is a colloquial term for a single-cut stringed instrument (no top cutaway).
This one has a weird melted/distorted bulbous-ness to it, but it obviously has two cutaways.
I dunno.
Nice woods.
The top half looks like a streamer.
The bottom half looks like Florida.
There’s great access but it basically looks like a melted crayon for the sake of access that isn’t needed.
Yes thank you, I am aware, as I coined the term
Not sure when you coined it. But there are other instances of the colloquial whale term for a single-cut being used elsewhere.
Ha, I wasn’t aware of that. Glad it’s either picked up or it’s a common theme. It’s pretty visually obvious.
But that bass is totally a whale. A whale with a horn. A Narwhal
@howard also tried to claim he invented the word ‘fake’ but someone else beat him to it. Sad.
He’s posing, the noob. I did invent it.
Looks like Gonzo!
I do not like this. Design. It leaves so many things to be desired.
A Minecraft bass
I don’t hate this… I imagine it would be uncomfortable as heck but the blocky-ness is quite interesting to me.
It’s a Minecraft bass
