And beneath it all, a bad burst.

It’s two 24-fret necks at the same scale and with the same pickups. The styling is cool but this is serious Derek Smalls territory.

I feel like this needs to go to a less-than-excellent Exodus cover band for when they play this song…

The bass for every discerning Anaheim Ducks fan.

I rather like this…

Yeah the shape kind of rules, my gripe is putting two identical necks and pickups on a double neck, SpĂŻnal Tap style. Maybe the top is actually fretless and those are just markers?

Yes, one neck is fretless and the other neck is fretted.

Agreed, the beautiful symmetry is both its attraction and downfall.
I made a Spinal Tap-ish guitar for a friend, with 6 / 12 string necks - definite and unique need for both necks. Which meant I must seriously consider a twin-neck bass, and the only reasonable design I could muster was

  1. short scale Flying-V neck with Bass VI string arrangement, 3 x strat humbucker pickups
  2. medium scale Explorer neck with 4 string fretless, quad-core pickup
all on a four point star shaped body.
It’s either going to be bass porn or ugly duckling, not sure which.

Is this like putting the bathroom key on something HUGE so you can’t walk out with it?

They missed an opportunity not coloring it orange with black speckles.
