Actually validates a design idea I wanted to try. Researching some things now. Itās about to get uglyā¦er
Sans trem. But only because thatās out of budget.
Doooo eeeettttt!
I mean maybe if the pickguard were some sort of pearl design, the āwhiteā wood was a bold color and the ācheek guardā or whatever it is were black⦠For the record Iād love to play with a bass tremolo that would be silly fun.
@JoshFossgreen will have to do a lesson on divebombing for bass now
You just know Chris Wolstenholme could make a whammy work in a Muse tune⦠LOL!
Iād be kind of surprised if he didnāt use one somewhere in Exogenisis.
I donāt know if anyone has already said this (since there are more than 1500 posts), but according to several sources:
Fender created the Antigua finish almost by accident, as a way to cover up burn marks on the edges of Coronado II guitars during production in the late 1960s, where the body binding process had gone wrong; instead of scrapping the guitars, they developed a dark burst finish to hide the damage, which eventually became the distinctive Antigua color scheme with a black to mustard yellow gradient.
So Antigua was an accident after all. This makes so much sense.
Antigua is Glorious!
Search your feelings, you know it is true
Nothing but love, man, truly, but to me Antigua looks like week-old guacamole barf.
All that needs is a black light to make it pop!!
It looks as if the player wearing this thing looked down, realized how horrific this green monstrosity was, and slit his wrist.
I would have that placed center wall⦠I like itā¦
I was just trying for a solid green but there were artifacts on the pic that made it weird so I decided to go for it color wise.
The original pic totally has, I killed myself on a bathroom floor vibes⦠I lold hard when I read that because thatās what I was thinking about the pic originally
But I would play my design over the original that looks like the bass version of a punch-out wood model kit.
