New old bass day, and IMO it’s a looker 1985 Yamaha BB-VIII. They only made them for one year. [IMG_5970] [IMG_5971] [IMG_5972] These vintage MIJ Yamahas are just solid instruments. The back of the neck is gloss but it’s also beautiful, going to leave it that way. It’s a big chonky P style neck, 42mm nut. The double P’s sound great and the bridge P is surprisingly useful even soloed. Liking it so far, cool bass.
