(newbie question). What kind of tone do you get with double P pickups?
Never seen it before I read this thread, but then I haven’t seen much in the way of different basses.
They are not common. The bridge pickup gives you some zing almost like a Music Man along with some clarity to offset the mud from the neck pickup and you get fat rich tone with a ton of punch

That’s a beauty. Never heard of this company until I saw @Wombat-metal 's , and upon checking see that their USA offices are 40 miles away. I’ve got my next bass coming in 2 weeks. but @howard, a Japan order might not be too far behind. Something about her just grabs me, especially this previously sold white one (never thought I’d want a white bass) FGN Mighty Power | Reverb.

They build a lot of instruments for other companies. The Fender MIJ reputation was made by FGN built instruments to a large degree

FujiGen makes great stuff. Wombat’s right, they (along with Tokai) manufactured the Fender MIJ’s for years. I think FujiGen might now, it’s kind of unclear.
