Upgrade Day! Anyone Else Upgrading?

Im not sure, but they’re not as reflective as the stock ones. They’re definitely blacker!

Oh, OK. I couldn’t tell if they looked darker because of their tint or the photos’ lighting. I guess they’re Hipshot’s take on black chrome.

I had read somewhere that Hipshot tuner pegs are shorter than usual, and that does seem to be the case… Doesn’t this affect their usability in any way? And could you please describe how they feel better than the stock ones? Are they more precise, or do they just turn smoother, or…?

Hipshot tuning machines are smooth to turn and very precise, far more than most stock tuners. And they hold their positions rock solid. No slipping.

No the shorter key does not affect usability at all. Yes, they feel smoother but I havent yet determined if they’re more precise, although that is one of their claims.

I’ve got Hipshots on two of my basses and I can confirm that they are smooth-operating and accurate tuning machines.

They have several models @Mike_NL and one model does in fact have shorter shafts to match certain Fender designs. But they have others with longer “standard” ones.

Very nice, love them. HipShot makes great tuning machines, I have them on my SBV now too.

Not to be confused with a tutu.

Yeah, it’s pretty sweet! Little bit of a bugger there’s no line out, but I’ve been wanting some monitor speakers for ever and a day anyway so… :joy:
Got it on my staff discount at work, so I only paid a tiny amount more than retail price for that and Amplitube 5. Result!

I put a set of TI Jazz Flats on my EBMM Cutlass and…

Holy crap! They are outstanding!! :star_struck:

The D’Addario Chromes that were on before can’t even come close to the feel, tone and playability of the TI Jazz flats.

The TIs are buttery-smooth in every way, much more comfortable for me and a joy to play. Beautiful strings.
