Websites for Bass tab?

I’ve noticed that plenty of websites with bass tabs either lack songs in certain genres of music or supposedly don’t have the most accurate tabs. Are there any websites that have a large variety of music with good to accurate tabs?

To be more specific, I’m looking for gp8 files with integrated audio files.

There is a way, and you know it: List of play-along songs with synchronised tabs on Youtube

You can grab the .PSARC files from https://ignition4.customsforge.com/ (it has 71,324 songs now) and convert them to OGG (which is like MP3, but better) for audio and tabs for Guitar Pro.

Merging GP5 and Ogg in Guitar Pro is easy then…

If you want to I can describe the process in a separate thread.

What’s your favourite song to play??!

Let me take a shower and shave first - I look like Tom Hanks in Castaway

So, of course you want the impossible one! This is what I found:

Do you have a second choice and maybe a backup?

First steps are documented here: HOW TO: creating a GP5 with synched audio from Rocksmith PSARC song

I will get to the actual gp/audio merging in a 2nd post!

EDIT done!

I would rather free but I’ll definitely pay for a good website too

All of the ones I linked to are free.

Guitar pro (8) has decent free tabs and notations the paid in app “my song book” is not bad quite accurate.

Best one is fiver but they are a lot more expensive but pretty awesome. When I’m stumped I go there. :joy:

Zzzeee Zzzzerrrmmaaan bass forum seems to recommend this site from Belgium:
https://basslessons.be/transcriptions-list.php

From the author: “For over a decade, I’ve dedicated myself to transcribing an extensive collection of songs across diverse genres. This has resulted in hundreds of transcriptions, spanning funk, soul, pop, fusion, rock, progressive metal, and beyond. From very basic bass lines well suited for beginners to very complex ones for advanced players.
I’m systematically converting these transcriptions into digital format and making them freely available on my website.
As of now, there are over 945 transcriptions online. between 1 and 3 are added every week.”

Being Dutch, I usually don’t recommend anything from Belgium. Let this be the exception

They make awesome fries and I love their waffles.

So, first of all there is a war going on between Belgium and Holland since the dawn of man, about who makes the best fries. That would be us, of course.

Second, they pretend to speak Dutch, but they cannot pronounce the letter G properly.

Last but not least, they have a strange kind of humour. Their best known (and probably only) comedian is called “Urbanus van Anus”. This is in fact the only thing you need to know about them

We thought hard about building a wall to the south, so we would not be bothered by Belgium anymore, but who builds walls nowadays? It’s 2024! That would be barbarism ^^

They make great music though - just don’t tell them!

Exhibit A:

Center: frietje oorlog (“war fries”: fries, mayonaise, saté sauce, onions)
Left: bitterballen
Right: frikandel speciaal
Drink: Chocomel. Chocomel ist the best chocolate milk in existence. The recipe is a state secret, and their are rumours that it has magical properties … for those that are worthy!
