What are you listening to right now?

I meant Alien Sex Fiend. Specifically I know them from this:

Inspired by a forum thread; a song Su wrote on fighting the make dominated music industry

I know this won’t be to the taste of many on these pages, but Rothko (nothing to do with the painter other than being named after him!) are one of the outfits that made me really listen to bass.

If you don’t like seriously chilled out, ambient, pretty minimalist bass then you’ll probably want to skip this. But when in contemplative mood I just love this stuff!

It’s just the way one looked in the 80s, @itsratso ^^

Bob Vylan - Pretty Songs

Discovered Bob Vylan several years ago.
He is the only current artist that transmits pure punk energy like I haven’t felt since the early 80s…

Hahaha. Actual quote from someone I knew at the time: “We all thought you were Robert Smith.”

I didn’t look THAT extreme but I guess I was was trending that way a bit. I was actually closer to looking like Jim Reid from Jesus and Mary Chain, if anything. That’s also how I dressed, more or less.

Then at like 21, genetics took over and my hair started thinning. Thanks Dad. So I have been looking like Kane from Command and Conquer ever since - I actually have a boss that used to call me Kane. Thanks, boss.

A new kawaii thing, though it reminds me more of the quartet called Bond than anything. And anything with Grace Kelly is worth a listen

I don’t think I have enough k-pop knowledge to really appreciate this. Tina Guo rocks super super hard and I have tickets to see Mia on Valentine’s Day doing the Mia x Ally thing, I thought I’d be really into it not just “eh that’s kind of cool”.

Pretty much my take. I’m willing to give them some time, sometimes new groups take a while to get their sound, but too much like Bond for me now

Amazing! I can’t believe this happened 20 miles from me. I could have gone to NAMM this year.
