So who thought a death metal band would make a good opener for Hanabie? How they pick bands is nuts
Currently I am listening
I just had this play for me. Paying attention to the bass line, like one does, I kinda suspect that’s Robert Smith playing his bass vi (knowing that Robert was a member of the Glove).
I’m working on I’m Scum right now.
Me too! But that’s a really easy song … and I feel that it describes me best
It’s easy, but I’m working on pick + speed by doing it. Colossus is another fun one (and the one they do the wall of death at their shows for).
Ah, cool, pick! Will try that also one day ^^
Until now, EVERYTHING from Idles was cool!
I recently discovered this band and im loving their stuff
Oh man you’re in for a treat. They have a wide range from pure shoegaze to indie rock, love them.
All the stuff on their label (4AD) at the time was awesome.
Yep, they’re awesome. Super underrated bass work too.
Now that I’ve got this Blur song recorded (working on editing it so I can upload to YT), De-Luxe is one of the ones I’m considering next.
great song on a great album. De-Luxe, Sweetness And Light, Downer, Etheriel… man Gala was good.
Dude…
Just…
Dude…
I’d totally forgotten they covered this. But it’s damned impossible to argue against early Cowboy Junkies.
Actually haven’t listened to them in a while, certainly not since I really dove into bass. Now I gotta deep dive, because their vibe is very closely aligned to the vibe I’m looking for.
Good call.
all right now I’m going to have to throw on some Cocteaus just for that hero image.
What’s up with Robin Guthrie looking like a trucker there though
Also for those new to this don’t judge the Cocteau Twins by their live sound. It’s… awful. One of the few shows I have actually walked out of, and they are one of my favorite bands.
That’s one I gotta tackle someday, if I can wrap my head around 9/8 tho lol
@howard Funny you should mention Sago today, Mina released a cover of her own debut single a few hours ago. Which was an anime.
She’s got game.
