When we were buying @JerryP’s BBP34 at Ikebe in Ikebukuro, I noticed they had a Sago wall with a signed picture of her in the shop, it’s apparently where she got one.
Lush have a pretty neat live sound compared to Cocteau Twins. From what I’ve seen and heard.
Yes Lush were amazing live!
It’s almost incredible the difference, how good the Cocteaus are in the studio and yet how disappointing they are live. Like night and day.
Still not sure they have their sound down as a foursome now, but still sounds good. And for years Haraguchi-san has played only her Sadowsky, last clip she had an Atelier Z, here a Yamaha? Living on the wild side Hara-chan.
Yes. another post about Lush. But this is honestly one of my favourite songs at the moment, more people need to know about them.

Such a great genre.
Gah, they take me right back to the Britpoppy era. But I never really heard much of their stuff outside Ladykillers so it’s nice to hear more.
Ladykillers is a classic but way more indie than their earier, shoegazy stuff. They were really versatile.
I mean, i just posted a cover of The Universal by blur. It doesnt get a whole lot more brit poppy than that somg. ![]()
The lovelife album definitely has its “britpoppy” moments for sure
Well, you could have done “Morning Glory” by Oasis ![]()
On a side note: to me, all brit pop is “just” Beatles V2.0 ![]()
(Doesn*t make it bad - I like a lot of Brit Pop songs.
But it’s all “been there, done that” for Lennon & McCartney…
Blur is better than the Beatles.
(ducking
)
Blur wants to be where the Beatles already were…
(I like Blur better than the Beatles, but truth must be told!)
Ive never been an Oasis fan. They were to generically britpop imo. Blur (Graham mostly I think) is enough of a weirdo that their music wasn’t stale to me. 13 is one of my favorite albums by anyone and its mostly because of the guitar.
I will neither agree nor disagree with that. Just pointing out that’s quite a statement.
Albarn is a genius too.
Absolutely, you really start to see that the Gorillaz first album, then Think Tank which is my 2nd favorite blur record (there’s my hot taek). He grew up and away from the britpop pop star though, where Graham was always kind of an oddball.
