What do ‘dropped’ ,‘IG’ and ‘ep’ mean?

Drop is the industry term for releasing an album or song.
EP is Extended Play, a record with more than one song and shorter than a full album, or LP, a 25-30 minute album for the most part
IG is Instagram, where the cool kids hang these days

Drop also has different meanings for some genres (primarily dance music/EDM).

Had to google it to find it stands for Electronic Dance Music. I am not sure I want to know who are what is dropped during the dance. I can imagine a number of items which could be dropped.
Ohh man you are bringing back memories. My grandma used to have nailhead sized licorice drops that were wrapped up in paper and SUUUPPPEEER strong. She liked her purses so I’d adventure under her bed to find the purses that still had these and mints inside.

And that brings back memories of my grandma. She always had Wilhelmina mints in her purse … those mints are one of the many reasons why Holland is the greatest country in the world (notwithstanding what some other countries say about themselves :-))
Ohh man we have Altoids over here in the US. I love mints! They are labeled ‘curiously strong’ but I’ve all but stopped short of putting a whole tins worth in my mouth at once

Since starting bass, finding new and deeper appreciation for the bass playing on albums I already knew I liked…
‘McLemore Avenue’ by Booker T and the MG’s. It’s them doing covers of ‘Abbey Road’ and clearly having a blast of a time. Dunn is just smearing all of the stank onto “The End”.

welp another of my “mt. rushmore” musicians put out a new album and somehow i didn’t even know about it? i haven’t actually heard it yet but i can confidently report that it is super amazing because it, of course, is.

Was trying to play the second one today with the speed down at .25. I love their songs at any speed. Even at .25 it still sounded so cool, like a trippy little circus tune. One day I hope to play these basslines at full speed. Gave my 5th string a workout.
Gary Numan really did his kids a solid by getting them on stage young. Raven’s got her solo career going.
