What are you listening to right now?

He played with the $400 Sterling bass on the entire concert. Fantastic!

It’s an obvious choice for the few 4700 people

The mints arrived as scheduled.

Not overly minty or sweet, nice flavor.
The smaller boxes inside the large box were about the same size as a cigarette box. I half expected the mints to be shaped like the old candy cigarettes of my youth.

With Boh and ISAO from East Kami (Babymetal)

Currently spinning B side. Title track is one of Bruce’s best performances ever. That power and control, it’s mindblowing.

Definitely in my top 3 Maiden albums.

I think I may give that one a spin myself!

It’s a hairmetal kinda evening.

They were also my first unsupervised concert, opening for Bon Jovi.

That’s a fantastic album. Was my favorite album for years. Aces high is the best opener ever.

Will be seeing these guys next year. Can’t wait, they’re a great band.

And that Green Lung opening reminded me to share my fav kiwi metal band:

I love the lowend they have.

Also, I got super lucky and they were playing in Wellington two of the times I was there visiting family.

Been a Louis Johnson type of morning.

David Gilmour released his fifth solo album today “Luck and Strange.” I just finished the first listen. For Pink Floyd fans expecting vintage Gilmour this is not your album.

It is classic David sans screaming guitar solos. His Stratocaster tells his fingers’ story but it is refined from a mature (not necessarily in age) Gilmour.

Fans of Gilmour, post Floyd will appreciate sounds.
An hour’s worth of music in 11 songs.
