Amazing album - even the iTunes download version sounds great!
I blame @faydout
I did the same thing when I saw the meme.
Today I found out about this 80s post-punk noise band that I’d missed along the way.
Meat Beat Manifesto even covered this song of theirs:
Yep, they covered that on the album that they did on Nothing records (Trent Reznor’s label). I lifted that one with an Alister Crowley book from Border’s on a dare. I’ve still got the CD somewhere in my crawl space.
…and I just got an email that The Descendants are playing with the Buzzcocks here the night before Peter Hook.
SBL just released an interview with Kelsey Gonzalez. So now I’m checking out Anderson .Paak.
I’ve been sleeping on him and now I need to check out more. I was bobbing my head all the way into and home from work today.
Wild!
I’m going to blame @faydout too, a couple of days ago I heard Coolidge for the first time and the kick drum on this song messes with me soo much but also brings me so much joy.
Before that I think the only Descendents song of note for me was Weinerschnitzel which I saw in the movie Pump Up the Volume a long time ago. (lots of teenage giggles)
And already back to the Puppy, as their fellow Canadians say, “And the magic music makes your morning mood, eh!”
They’re great. And … 10 years ago, when they began, they were just little girls … but damn, they grow into beauty. Especially Moa.
Have you heard of Djedjotronic? I love a lot of his stuff, some more along EBM lines - you might like it.
In person, Yui was stunning. They’re all attractive, but Moa’s personality plus her looks are deadly. I feel like I’m talking kpop.
You know when they met Marilyn Manson they sent Moa into his dressing room to test the waters. She has no fear.
Nothing bad about a bit of J or Kpop. My introduction to the music from this part of the world, long before Casiopea, Masayoshi Takanaka etc, was Ayumi Hamasaki. The magic of Japanese and Korean pop groups, other than it has really strong eye candy aspect, is that the whole act is always so well done in every aspect, from production to stage performances. That reminds me that I haven’t watched Kara’s Mister video in a while.
