What are you listening to right now?

I was lucky enough to go there years ago.
I was happy to just be there.

In the spirit of Wax Trax, now listening to:

I say “in the spirit of” because that was actually on Sire, but RevCo is a classic product of Wax Trax - almost like the Wax Trax house band.

How much did that video cost

Depends on if anyone did time for breaking in to the place

So, I had read where someone was trying to restart Wax Trax!, a woman I think, and…

Tada!

Wow. Some bands in there I haven’t thought of in a long time (Doubting Thomas!). Also a few I never knew released on Wax Trax (KLF! Chris and Cosey!)

Had to nab a T-shirt and the pink vinyl Sexplosion of MLWTKK.
Hope they keep working for the rights or whatever to re-issue a lot of their catalog!

Guess what song just hit #1, 37 years after it first charted, due to being in Stranger Things?

Yeah I saw that!
It makes total sense.
These kids all were raised to all run in a pack after the soccer ball, and now they are applying that strategy to everything in life.
I’m just happy for Kate, she da bomb.

I actually listen to FLA more or less daily. Always been a big fan of Leeb/Fulber.

FLA wasn’t on my radar much back then. Heard them and mindphaser but never went too deep. Good stuff though for sure.

Here’s something (non Wax Trax) from that era that all this reminded me of and had to give a listen to.

This one’s for you @Barney -

Thats my friend julia. Her father owned wax trax, she inherited the rights when he died.

Cool! I hope she’s successful.
Great label and great history.
I just subscribed to their newsletter so I can stay on top of what they are doing.

There’s not much left of it. The wax trax records in denver is independently owned. She’s doing fine, she’s a nurse here in chicago.
