Speaking of cellos and Apocolyptica, here they are performing War Pigs

Iron Maiden, Oct. 12 in Hamilton.
Whadda friggin’ show!
Today I am geeking out at simply how clever Chris Franz is with the composition of the cowbell in Girlfriend is Better. It’s actually interesting syncopation - needs a second percussionist to play it

Nice shots of Tina playing the synth bassline too, while still wearing her bass guitar like a necklace
This movie overall has to be the best concert video ever made.
Has it really been 3 years since I’ve seen Babymetal?
Here’s a song, From Dusk till Dawn. A great example of how Babymetal uses choreagraphy, particularly hand movements, to tell the story. The song starts and it’s day, then the lights turn blue and night falls, Su struggles with doubt through a difficult night, and then a key change, yellow lights, and they great the dawn. The lyrics are really ambiguous, and Su is purposely not exact on her diction. One of my favorite songs, and oh the head voice.
EP coming soon
You know Halloween is coming when Broken Peach releases their video
In line with the Practice Space thread and @howards tiny area to practice…
ToP proving you don’t need a lot of space after all.
Sadge.
Babymetal announced about 30 shows today opening for Sabaton, all in Europe. And all my friends are buying plane tickets to go see them, which is par for the course in Babymetaland.
Their announced schedule is releasing a single in oct, Nov, Jan, Feb, and Mar, with a concept album coming in March. Hoping for a collaboration in Dec, which Sabaton has hinted at.
And then they announced Fox Day, which is April 1st, hoping they announce a US tour.
So to the wayback machine, Su singing White Love from when she was 14, couple years before their debut album.
I think they should leave Su unscripted more. She’s very good at it.
Here’s the original, a hit the year Su was born. Much cooler bass line.
