There’s a huge difference between those vape pens with who knows what in them and using a vaporizer to vaporize cannabis.
Also, nicotine IS chemically addictive. It’s great if it was easy for you to quit, but that’s not most people’s experience.

I think smoking should be banned everywhere except in the privacy of one’s own home.
I just can’t get over this view (inclusive of brisket).
Like… do you live here???
I’m just all kinds of hungry and jealous now.
I can only speak for techno & house clubs here: when the smoking ban came, it made the clubbing experience “lesser”.
All the cool kids were smoking … and needed to go outside, even in the winter or when it was raining. Getting your coats was a challenge, so we were standing outside, shivering, wet, miserable!
Also, there was less excitement, cause smoking a joint, hiding between the regular smokers, was not possible anymore. I fondly remember watching out for the security guys, while enjoying the forbidden. It was a little hunting game…
The rocked down clubs instantly became cleaner, making the whole experience more sterile. It felt like somebody had to turn down the bass, cause the neighbors complained.
Now, clubbing is mostly a sober experience. Even the kids behave - in every respect - and there is no difference between going to a club or playing squash anymore. Boring!
Clubbing is supposed to be dirty, noisy and “dangerous”, in my opinion
I remember waking up the next afternoon and my pillow would smell like an ashtray’s a hole. The whole room did.
I didn’t really smoke much of anything those days but I had a theory. The reason why we all wanted to hit the clubs and bars so much is because we were 2nd hand nicotine addicts. Honestly after the smoking bans went into place the only reason to go was the girls and a lot of nights I preferred video games
Ehhhh … WTF? That must have been one hell of a video game
Actually I saw a really interesting documentary about the progression of dubstep into EDM, DJs made the point that this often changed their game plan and tune selection.
It became tougher to grab attention and keep people inside for a more nuanced musical journey, so DJs reached for more bangers.
Hahahaha!
EDM would drive me outside, personally (in the “modern” sense of Skrillex, David Guetta and similar, not in the “classic” sense of Underworld, Leftfield etc.). No need for a fag!
Dubstep is really cool for about three songs … afterwards I need a change of party location too
What documentary was that?
Me too But I love classic dubstep
I think it was this one (clickbaity title but it looks at some interesting stuff)
I smoked a pack a day from 21-30 then switched to vaping which honestly was probably worse than cigarettes cause you can smoke them indoors. Over the last year I was able to switch to the Zyn nicotine pouches and it was just within the last 3-4 months that I have been completely nicotine free for basically the first time in my adult life.
feels amazing honestly. It was one of the toughest personal battles I have fought. addiction sucks and it’s been quite satisfying to say to myself “I did it”. Just quit. Nicotine is a scam.
After reading a few of the above posts RE vaping, I wanted to stress this point by GingerBug.
The big-cloud vape pens you see the kids playing with are the ones that were causing all the popcorn-lung reports. Not THC vape. Different chemicals used in each and yes, while THC vape may irritate the lungs you won’t be sent to hospital for it, unless you’re asthmatic and shouldn’t be doing that anyway.

That said, I really want a pellet grill but my wife doesn’t think I’ll get enough use from it.
I just want it!!
Oh and I tried quitting smoking 4 times.
3 times were cold turkey and while the first time I lasted a few months, the other 2 times were failures within days.
The success came with Champix/Celebrex in the late 90s. This was a miracle for me. After about 4 weeks I didn’t want to smoke any more. I just didn’t want it. I had a few smokes left in a pack and just tossed them away.
The side effects, causing depression and in some, like my father, suicidal tendencies, did not show for me.
Keep it going boi, whatever it takes…
The Amish say, ’ Give me the boy between 1 and 7 years of age and I’ll show you the man’.
There seems something to be said about example we get while were children,.
looks like monkey business to me…
Ha, thanks, we’ve had some beautiful weather lately (Alabama). I love the fall! That picture doesn’t show it well, but there was all sorts of fog coming off the water that morning. I should have gotten an after picture of the brisket, turned out awesome. I do keep dropping hints to my wife about moving to the lake full time. Maybe someday. We’ve still got 2 kids at home, but not for too much longer.
The dynavap hits crazy hard for only 0.2 (or less) grams. When i first tried it i just wanted to microdose to see if it would help my SAD and “fix” my sleep schedule and it made me way too high (some strains also made my back and neck sore) until i started mixing in some hemp flower 1:1 lol. I’ve got a Solo 2 now which i really like. Dry herb vaping is definitely the way to go, it tastes great and there’s not much odour from it either. I have a few THC/CBD/DBG carts that i started off with but the flavoured ones are just too hard on the throat and lungs.
My favourite flower so far is Coast Mountain Dancehall, smells amazing! Sometimes i open the jar just to sniff it
Others i’ve tried are:
I think the super lemon haze is my fave.
I never used cannabis until last December, i never would have imagined that the rabbit hole was so deep… i figured weed was just weed lol. I feel like they’re kind of ruining the experience a bit now by focusing on cultivars with such high levels of THC and no CBD.
Still on my list to try are:
I smoked cigarettes for just over 20 years, the whole time that I was in the Navy. I quit 20 years ago, probably my best life decision. I occasionally work at a VA Hospital in Orlando and I see the vets walk in with O2 bottles and I feel regret for even starting. I’m in good respiratory health now but I’m sad for my mother who could never quit and died from lung cancer in 2004. My dad quit after 20 some years and he is still kicking at 87 with no issues related to smoking!
6lbs of pork belly.
This!!
Which is why I only use stuff I’ve grown myself with a better balance. I loathe those super high THC strains.
I used vapes when they first appeared to quit tobacco; gradually reducing the nicotine levels until I didn’t need them any longer and good riddance to both. Those vapes with all the chemicals might have helped me quit tobacco but they burned my throat. However I am grateful to them.
Yeah that’s why I always just vaporized flower in a vaporizer. Those cartridges are full of carcinogens.
It’s kind of unbelievable to me that the tobacco industry invented a product with second-hand smoke even more annoying than cigarettes, but here we are.
