I myself like deciphering your messages, it’s a challenge for me to pull out your meaning
Just ordered everything i need to hot rod my mikro
@itsratso Please elaborate, just for my edification (I have a miKro).
I will put the details in the short love thread when its done, hopefully a few weeks.
So, my posts are like the daily crossword puzzles from newspapers. I can dig that.

Thanks. Its getting a bit better, hopefully I can type at my computer soon.
Tgat would be great for 2 reasons.
1- healing is going well
2- I am home and still on bond
I did tgat, with a mouse too for my Ipad in tge past, that was when I didnt have a computer.
I remember, if I didnt disconnect, everytime I would pick up my Ipad to do thinhs not needing a keyboard and /or mouse, it would act weird, and I woulf forget they were still connected and would get a bit frystrated til I remembered, and disconnected.
Also, if the keyboard and / or mouse were moved, they turned on the Ipad, sometimes on a music video at full volume, with no headphones in the jack.
I would probably break my phone within a week if I had tgose connected to it.
But, yes, they a are great option for typing on mobile devices, and the mouse really navigates the window better so you can place the cursor where you want it for edits, instead of it going crazy and jumping all over the screen.
I look forward to seeing what you’ve done
I may have been here too long, I can usually figure 98% of it out and infer the remainder. ![]()
It works for me @T_dub, for whatever that’s worth.
I’ve made a decision. It’s my C-5 GT. I’m sorry Beasty.
Nice choice. I’ve considered Schecters more than once lately.
Much like 6, 7, and 8-string guitars where I settled on 27" 7-string, 35" 5-string is where I feel “at home” on a bass. I still really love The Beast and its massive chonker of a 6-string neck, but I don’t think I will ever been in a situation where I need the extended upper and lower range on the same instrument.
…and mama wants a NeuralDSP Quad Cortex ![]()
Ah, the perennial condition that is GAS. Better pare your gear, though, or you might be called a collector. ![]()
it would replace multiple pieces of gear
That’s the ticket!
But would it?
As in “if I get that one, I’ll get rid of the pieces it replaces”?
Funny how our favorites become casualties of new favorites.
My Darkglass Exponent 500 would become completely superfluous; I’d just need a power amp if I was playing in a band w/ out a PA and it looks like I might be in one soon that does use a PA. My POD HD500X (already on the chopping block anyway), a lot of effects pedals, probably my Nektar PACER MIDI footboard.
I got the Exponent 500 because it ticked a lot of boxes, but a floor modeler and power amp probably would have been a smarter choice for me, especially now that I know how weak the Exponent 500’s DSP/CPU is.
It would, however, be a more expensive replacement
…and they literally barely exist in the wild, and Sweetwater is the only US distributor of them, and people on Reverb are selling them for $2400-$2900 while not mentioning warranty does not transfer
Edit What’s funny is the footprint isn’t much more than my head, I could power it off my battery bank that puts out 12V, and use it for noodling at work. Which means I could return that Darkglass Element to Guitar Center just to piss them off one more time
Do it!
Do it!
Do it!
Same as it ever was.
The quad cortex with a modeled amp and cab through a PA will also sound better than any real amp you are likely to buy. And if it didn’t, you could then use it to profile that amp anyway, and it would again
For a long while I was readying myself to get a Yamaha TRBX504 which I was already fanboy-ing over. Then one day I went into a store in the city with a dedicated bass floor. I left there with a Warwick on my back.
Meet Warlock, my Warwick RB Corvette Basic 4. As it’s a Basic it’s made in China, not Germany so I tried a couple German ones in that store, neither gave me the feeling that this did. Great QC, super light, cool matte finish, and a neck and tone that just felt made for me.
I’ve since slapped on some Dunlop super bright rounds and got the action lowered, it’s perfect.
