What song are you currently/next "working on"?

“It has no bad songs” exactly my friend! The thing is the songs(well some of them) look pretty simple on a tab,but man to get it right all the way through is…so much fun!

We shall indeed get there😀 it’s the perfect album to de-stress to!
You’ve got this!

Great exercise - different ways to play it, too! Make sure you test different fingerings to find what works for you! It is actually fun to try out different “routes” across the fingerboard

Now there’s a blast from the past

That was day 1 on bar 1, yes. First checking the note sequence and then how I want to put my fingers to play it.

Yeah. Was really amusing when I was visiting my father after christmas and played stuff on my U-Bass. He was like: “I know that line… I know it…” “you wanna keep guessing, or should I tell you?”. I wasn’t so nice with Pink Floyd - Money because I was sure that he has to get that by himself and he did… after a while

Rasputin was also on my list but somehow got rotated out in the rotation. I’ll probably will get back to it, too.

Here is my rolling setlist that I keep in an excel spreadsheet, and to which I keep adding when a song strikes me.
You may notice that the song I’m working on now is redacted. That’s only because I’m not ready to reveal it yet. I hope to have it finished within a fortnight.

I wish you luck! Such a fun bass album to play to.

I think this is one of the greatest bass lines of all time. Good luck!

I love that you used ‘fortnight’. Godspeed!

@gio I’m a writer and can’t help myself. I spent a score and a decade dispensing a passel of seldom used locution, parlance, and phraseology.

So eloquent that I don’t know what you are saying.

Lemme look those strange english words up…

I’m more concerned that I understood it all

I wish I could cash in come of my seldom used English vocabulary for free Japanese vocabulary.

On Monday I’ll be heading out for a 2 1/2 month work trip and I’ll be taking my Traveler Bass and working on these songs (in no particular order)
“Why Don’t We Just Dance”
“Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”
“Surfer Girl”
“Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da”
and some 12 Bar Blues variations.

We’ll see how far I get.
PS: Looking forward to meeting up with @howard and @Tokyo_Rat when I get to Japan.

currently all of Japan is off limits except Kanagawa (yokohama and kawasaki off limits) and Nagano. Nagano is green, Kanagawa is yellow which means no dining off base but we can shop, take out food, hair cuts. No bars, official travel only to outside or off limits areas. Penalties include being barred from the base…this includes military. On base gyms are still open, purdy is all hands flt rec is mil only. Restaurants are open dine in and take away…tracing logs are mandatory for personnel with SOFA status. No groups larger than 5 people. Schools were shutdown just prior to winter break no word yet as to when or if they will re-open after the break. Vaccine has started medical personnel first, then it will be mission essential, AD, and then all others beginning in June. There is talk that due to the recent super strain in the US Japan may deny access for all but SOFA status US Passport holders.
