Whatcha Watchin'? The TV Thread

I should try that. I have billions of credits, I was a beta tester, and I love Vette as a companion, and now I can do the Sith Warrior arc as a Sith Assasin class, which might be fun

There’s actually 5 different endings to the arc depending on your choices.

Yeah they really outdid themselves with the Agent story. Charles was a great writer.

I loved that game, also very Rashomon, telling the same basic events from eight different perspectives. Especially Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior, which almost mirror each other.

Playing a light side Sith is amazing just for the reactions of all the Jedi you run in to.

Also strong recommend playing as Sith Pureblood.

Another thing that game really nailed well was how corrupt the Republic was. This is also something Andor is doing well, Clone Wars nailed, and Acolyte was strong in in terms of the Jedi.

Is this based on the Steven King story?

We are chugging through the Handmaid’s Tale atm.
It is hard going, especially after my usual scifi diet.
Every episode is new trauma and madness.

I’m thinking Corporate would probably be OK with that decision. HR definitely would be

So in other words the analogy still holds for Lynch

(One thing I love about Lynch is that while demanding, he is extremely loyal to his cast and crew and generally drags the same group of usual suspects from picture to picture)

Yes it is based on Stephen Kings book.

We’ve watched Handmaids Tale and it’s such a hard watch. Goes against every fiber of my being.

Atwood’s original is not exactly light reading.

We have the book, but I must confess, I’ve not read it yet.

I’ve only read part of it (and watched the original movie) myself.

Just rewatching Crank. Excellent!

Juice me up!

And rewatched Crank: high voltage.

Not as good as Crank, but better than I remembered it!

The wife and I are on season 2 of A Discovery of Witches. Kind of like Outlanders but not. What I really want to watch is 28 Years Later when it comes out!

Just watched “Under the Dome”. Waste of time! Even Dean Norris (from Breaking Bad fame) seems to have given up after a few episodes and plays on auto pilot.
Of course, he’s still great! But I’d rather spend my time watching the washing machine tumble than this trash!

Tried to watch “Slow Horses” for the third time. It did not click before, but then I finally got it and watched 3 seasons in one go (my girlfriend is on a spa vacation, so it’s bass and TV :-))

If you want to see Gary Oldman as an old, cynical, dirty, smelly and farting MI5 agent … this is a must watch!

I enjoyed every fart

He gets fatter und filthier with every season - yay!

Gary Oldman

Then (on drugs):

Now (on icecream):

@BozzerWolf - don’t watch it dubbed (for that matter: don’t watch anything dubbed!). The German dubbing totally s#cks and takes the soul out of anything.
God invented subtitles to watch movies and series as intended!

I read somewhere recently, Oldman has offered to play Dumbledore in the new Potter series. Really hope they take him up on that!

I expect him to play Harry Potter, 60 years later

Oh same. Did you hear that they are making 28 years a trilogy? I cannot wait for those to drop!

I heard Trilogy, but I thought they meant that 28 years was the third of a trilogy. That we be awesome if 28 years was 3!

That is actually what’s gonna happen. They are shooting 28 years later - the bone temple, simultaneously. So we are getting 3 new movies!
